Peel the sweet potato and cut into strips or cubes. Delicious for dipping with yoghurt sauce or a dip of your choice.
Boil the (unpeeled) sweet potato for about 5 to 10 minutes in plenty of water.
Cut the unpeeled sweet potato into slices and place them on the grill. Turn the slices after about 5 minutes and leave them on the grill for another 5 minutes, until they have softened and become crispy. Tip: you can also put the slices in the toaster!
Cut the unpeeled sweet potato into wedges. Heat oil in a wok or frying pan and stir-fry the segments for about 5 minutes over a medium heat until the segments have softened and developed a crispy layer.
Pierce the skin of the sweet potato with a fork all around. Put the sweet potato in the microwave at 1000 Watt for 5 minutes. The potato is now soft. Cut it in half and serve with sour cream and a little brown sugar, for example.

Place a whole, unpeeled sweet potato in a steamer bag and steam for about 40 minutes until soft. Or cut the sweet potato into wedges and steam them in the bag for about 20 minutes.
