To cut avocados: run the knife around the avocado (from top to bottom) and twist in half. Pull out and discard the pit. Using a spoon, remove the flesh.
Cut the lime in 4 parts. Squeeze 1 part into the bowl with the avocado.
Add the garlic, salt and any/all or none of the optional ingredients.
Using a fork gently mash the avocado a few times and stir all ingredients together.
You can add more ingredients to the guacamole to taste. For example pieces of tomato or a chopped red pepper. Also tasty is chopped coriander or a chopped onion.
