1 kg sweet potatoes
4 tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic
Delicious, healthy sweet potato chips. A great alternative to regular fries. They have a slightly sweet taste – kids love them!
Pre-heat the oven to 200°C.
Wash the sweet potatoes and pat dry. If you want to you can peel them, but you don’t have to. Thickly slice the sweet potatoes and then cut the slices into chips. Spread the chips over a baking sheet lined with greaseproof paper. Make sure they don’t overlap.
Crush the garlic and mix with the olive oil. Drizzle the oil over the chips. Place the baking sheet in the middle of the oven and bake for about 30 to 40 minutes. Turn the chips over half way through. Check the chips occasionally; how quickly the chips cook depends mainly on your oven and the thickness of the chips.
