Stir-fried Mangetout with ginger, lemon and garlic
300 grams of mangetout
half a lemon
2 garlic cloves
1 thumb of ginger
2 tsp sesame seeds white/black
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp fresh dill
A deliciously simple wok dish. By stir-frying the mangetout with lemon, garlic and ginger, a true explosion of flavour is created!
Scrub the lemon clean and cut half of it into small halves. Clean a thumb of ginger and 2 cloves of garlic and cut them into pieces. Fry the lemon, ginger and garlic in a little olive oil in the wok over low heat.
Cut off the tips of the mangetout. Increase the heat under the wok and stir-fry the mangetout in the lemon, ginger and garlic for 3-5 minutes until they are al dente. Finally, add the sesame and a pinch of salt and pepper.
The pieces of fried ginger and lemon are edible. I myself am a fan of these taste explosions, but not everyone can appreciate them. For this reason, I recommend keeping the pieces fairly coarse so that they can be easily pushed aside. Finally, sprinkle on some coarsely chopped dill.
