Sharon Fruit Trifle with speculaas granola

Ingredients

Granola: (enough to fill a large jar)
100 gr oat flakes
100 gr rolled oats
50 gr walnuts
3 tbsp coconut oil
3 tbs. honey
1.5 tbsp speculaas spices
1 pinch of vanilla powder

Trifle:
3 tbsp speculaas granola
150 ml of plain fromage frais
1 sharon fruit

This trifle is a truly delicious breakfast. The delicious homemade speculaas (Dutch ginger bread) granola and the tasty sharon fruit make a great combination with a beautifully thick fromage frais.

Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 150  C. Cover a baking tray with baking paper.

    Add the oats and the rolled oats to a mixing bowl. Coarsely chop the walnuts and add them as well. Add the speculaas spices to the mixing bowl.

    Melt the coconut oil and add the honey. Now mix the coconut oil and honey with the oat flakes and rolled oats. Mix everything well and spread the granola onto a baking tray.

    Place the baking tray with granola in a preheated oven for 30 minutes. Turn halfway through.

    Leave the granola to cool down completely. Keep the granola in a air-tight glass jar.

    Cut the sharon fruit into pieces.

    Spoon half of the fromage frais into a glass or bowl
  • 8
    Spoon the granola over the fromage frais.
  • 9
    Place half of the sharon fruit on top and then the other half of the fromage frais.
  • 10
    Top with the rest of the sharon fruit.
