Papaya Stuffed with Minced Meat served with papaya nut rice

2.5 papaya
350 gr ground beef
Minced meat seasoning
1 egg
1 lime
1 chili pepper
Nut rice
Handful of cashew nuts

Papaya is often stuffed with sweets such as fruit and ice. But it is also very tasty with a savoury filling! Mix ground beef, a little chili pepper, your favourite nuts and you have a stunning dish.

  • 1
    Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • 2
Cut open the chili pepper, remove the seeds and finely chop the chili pepper.
  • 3
Mix the minced meat, egg, minced herbs, salt, and half of the chopped chili pepper together. Fry the ground beef until it is a nice and brown.
  • 4
Cut 2 papayas in half and remove all seeds. Drizzle the inside of the papaya halves with lime juice. Place the papayas in an oven dish and stuff with the minced meat.
  • 5
Bake the papayas in the oven for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the nut rice until tender, as indicated on the package.
  • 6
Cut a half (or a whole if you want) papaya into small pieces and mix it with the rice. Sprinkle some cashew nuts over the rice as well.
  • 7
Serve the rice with the papayas and enjoy!
