4 Discovered Nashi pears
1 small glass dry white wine
30 g caster sugar
100 g dark chocolate
125 ml whipping cream
Simple but oh so yummy: Nashi pears with chocolate! This dessert is a true show-stopper.
Preparation
1
Peel the pears and cut in half. Remove the core from the halves.
2
Place the pear halves in a pan and drizzle with the white wine. Sprinkle with the sugar. Cook the pears on a low heat. Turn off the heat when cooked, but keep the pears warm.
3
Meanwhile, heat the whipping cream in a saucepan until just below boiling point. Remove the pan from the heat and melt the chocolate in the hot cream. Stir the chocolate sauce with a whisk.
4
Drain the pears, reserving the cooking liquid. Pour the cooking liquid into the chocolate sauce and mix well.
5
Pour the chocolate sauce over the pears. Serve while the pears are still warm for the best flavour.
