Grilled asparagus on toast with poached egg


2 large slices of bread
olive oil
12 green asparagus
1 tsp. paprika powder
2 large eggs
Parmesan cheese

Green asparagus also go very well with egg. For a delicious (Easter) breakfast, we combine toasted bread, grilled asparagus and poached egg. Mm, that is delicious!

    Bring a pan of water with some salt to boil, turn the heat down and let the water simmer on low heat. Toast the bread in the toaster.

    Place each slice of bread on a plate and drizzle with olive oil. Grill the asparagus for a few minutes on each side, sprinkle with the paprika powder and divide between the slices of toasted bread.

    Meanwhile, poach the eggs in the simmering water for 3 minutes. Remove them from the pan with a skimmer. Drain them and put them on the asparagus. Grate the Parmesan cheese on top.
