1 sheet of puff pastry
1 nashi pear, cored and sliced
1 Tbs brown sugar
10g butter, small dice
½ cup of caster sugar
juice from 2 lemons
1 tablespoon ginger, sliced
Vanilla ice cream to serve
Nashi pear is very tasty just as it is, but you can also make delicious baked goods with it. This puff-pastry tart with Nashi pears is easy to make and tastes divine.
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 220°C.

Crimp edges of the sheet of puff pastry by pressing a butter knife to fold slightly.

In a small bowl, toss nashi pear in sugar. Fan the slices around pastry round, leaving a 1cm border. Sprinkle butter over.

Bake galette for 15 minutes or until pastry is golden.

Heat the sugar, lemon juice and ginger in a small sauce pan over low heat until the sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat and set aside

Remove the ginger slices and brush the glaze over the nashi galette and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
