1 kg sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped into pieces
200 ml milk (warm)
4 tbsp. butter
300 g bacon slices
2 onions, minced
6 tbsp. ketjap manis
2 pak choi, chopped
An incredibly surprising mash with pak choi and sweet potatoes.
Preparation

Boil the sweet potatoes in water and a pinch of salt until tender. Mash with the milk and butter until smooth and keep warm.

Fry the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from the frying pan and allow to drain on paper towels.

Add the onion to the frying fat and sauté for several minutes. Add the ketjap and 4 tbsp. of water and let it simmer on a low heat for a short period.

Fold the pak choi into the mashed potato mixture and flavour with salt and pepper. Distribute the bacon over the mash and accompany with a spoonful of the onion/ketjap gravy.
