Our farmer Rodrigo introduced us to Crème de Papaya: a very popular and traditional Brazilian dessert. This dessert is found on every menu in Brazil. Besides being very quick and easy to make, it's indescribably delicious. Rodrigo: 'We always serve it when we have a party.'
Peel the papayas, remove the seeds, and dice the fruit.
Put the diced papaya and vanilla ice cream into a blender. Blend thoroughly to produce a thick and smooth purée.
Distribute the crème among 2 or 3 dessert bowls or glasses. Pour a little cassis liqueur into each bowl and stir it through just a little. Serve immediately.
