Nashi pear

The Nashi pear, or Asian pear, is a round fruit the shape and size of an apple. That’s why the Nashi pear is sometimes also known as an apple pear. The Nashi pear is white on the inside and has a small core. The pear has a thin, golden-coloured skin and a deliciously fresh flavour.

The Nashi pear originally comes from eastern Asia. Our Nashi pears grow in China.

The Nashi pear has the crisp bite of an apple and the flavour of a deliciously fresh, sweet pear. What’s more, it makes an excellent thirst quencher as it is full of juice.

Like apples, ripe Nashi pears are firm and can be eaten straight away. Eat a Nashi pear like an apple or pear: peel it (if you want to) and cut it into wedges.

Store Nashi pears in the refrigerator. The fruit tastes best chilled.

Do you often make juice with a slow juicer? Try using Nashi pears as your basis instead of apples or ordinary pears. Nashi pears contain a lot of juice, so they make a great basis for delicious juice drinks.
